BroadFutures serves young people who:

  • Are between the ages of 18 and 26.
  • Have received a high school diploma.
  • Have a documented learning disability or ADHD.
  • Have the cognitive ability to continue with higher education.
  • Are transitioning from high school to college or community college, taking a break from educational pursuits, or focusing on workforce skills.
  • Are responsive to direction and able to work independently.
  • Are highly motivated to be in our program.

Why I Donate:

The Colby family was among the first investors in BroadFutures. As a teacher and a mother of a child with learning differences, Susan knows personally how young people not only struggle in school but they also have difficulty moving into the job market. Carolyn Jeppsen and her team offer interns training in job readiness as well as monitoring their progress at the job site, which is extremely appealing to the companies and helps to alert students to issues that BroadFutures' hands on approach can address. This program helps interns succeed and provides talent for companies looking to increase their employment diversity. The results are overwhelmingly positive as seen in the success rate of their participants and growth of the program to date.
